The all new Kia Optima Hybrid has quite the new look. It features a slick angled front grille and also a rising rear compartment with a very spacious trunk and new taillights.

The Optima isn't keeping anything secret under the hood like most cars of its size and class as it features a fuel efficient 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine, connected to a six speed automatic.

Even though it shares those features with many other hybrids, what really makes this car ready to go is the 40 horsepower electric motor couples to this already powerful 166-horsepowered and 155 lb-ft…

At the end of July, Kia posted a consolidated net profit of 1.1-trillion Korean won (approximately $1-billion), for Q2 2011, exceeding forecasts by 187-billion Korean won (about $178-million). Talk about impressive! Achieving even 913-billion Korean won would have been noteworthy. And, to top it all off, in the U.S. alone, Kia succeeded in gaining nearly one full percent of market share in Q2.
